About us - The Boring Stuff

THE IMPORTANT STUFF WE HAVE TO HAVE ON OUR WEBSITE

GET TO KNOW US BETTER ON OUR "GETTING TO KNOW YOU" PAGE

Hi everyone! This page tells you all about JATOE, what our mission is and how we operate. We operate a "bit" differently to other online stores.

MISSION STATEMENT

JATOE spent 12 months in development and opened as an online store on the 30th of June, 2013 in Burrum Heads, Queensland, Australia. We opened our eBay store in late 2013.  After our first website company went bust I spent time deciding whether or not I would open another online store. I decided yes and JATOE. I missed having my website.

Our aim is to create a store of excellence:

  • Excellence in products;
  • Excellence in management;
  • Excellence in providing a mini-department store for the residents of Burrum Heads;
  • Excellence in our customer service;
  • Excellence in our dialogue with our customers;
  • To provide employment in the Fraser Coast District;
  • To donate to charities;
  • To support local organisations in Burrum Heads;
  • To actively play a role in the community of Burrum Heads.

This store is very different to JATOE Mark I. JATOE Mark 1 was based on the model of a mini-department store for regional and rural Australia who had internet access. The website was successful and we then used that model to create our bricks and mortar store (JATOE Mark II) in Burrum Heads. The bricks and mortar store is popular with our locals - Burrum Heads is a small village - and our tourists.

JATOE Mark III is something I am passionate about. In JATOE Mark I we had a line for alternative and retro clothing, but we were more known for our other products we sold. JATOE Mark III is devoted to Alternative, Retro, Rockabilly and Pin Up clothing and accessories. As I like to do things differently and I must still have stock for my online customers who have been so loyal to me since 2013, I chose a different type of gift ware line, Disney Britto and I am including our Pop Culture line which was our highest turn over line in JATOE Mark I.
